    About Metro Hearing & Speech

In traditional private practice settings, audiology and speech-language pathology services are typically experienced as stand-alone entities; even though their services are complementary and often required by clients simultaneously. That said, Metro Hearing & Speech is the first Centre of it’s kind in Atlantic Canada to offer speech and audiology services under the same roof as part of a shared effort to accelerate client success. Walk into our Centre and immediately you notice two things; the warm and inviting atmosphere, and the down-to-earth passion of our specialists. We make the time to help, listen, find solutions and develop strategies – and believe it’s important to create an environment where clients feel comfortable sharing and learning with our team. As private practice professionals we wake up everyday with one purpose in mind – to remove obstacles that create unnecessary delays or frustration.

Dr. Alexander is excellent on all levels. I only had a first appointment but after years of suffering from severe hyperacusis, he was the first professional to take my condition seriously, offer solutions and give me hope that my condition is treatable. I strongly recommend if you suffer from hyperacusis.

My visit to see Dr Alexander was nothing short of amazing, he helped me understand all the terms and areas of the ear. He made me feel relaxed as I was getting tested and helped me with my concerns. The staff was extremally nice and made you feel comfortable while you waited in the waiting area. I recommend anyone to Metro Hearing & Speech Center.

Dr Alexandre is very thorough, knowledgeable, and helpful. Answered all my questions and even though my issue was relatively minor not once did I feel rushed. 10/10 would recommend.

    Brian Alexander

    Au.D.
    Audiologist

He's always learning. Whether it's playing music, exploring advances in audiology, teaching university graduate students in audiology or immersing himself in research, his authenticity and dedication shines. For those who have experienced Brian's passion for science, sound and helping others - the fact that he became New Brunswick’s first audiologist to practice with a Doctorate of Audiology - will come as no surprise. Early into his career Brian established the Alexander Hearing Center, earning the respect and admiration of his peers and clients for his innovative spirit and commitment to evidence-based solutions for hearing loss and tinnitus. In 2013 Brian decided to leave the Alexander Hearing Center that he had founded, to pursue a vision dedicated to 'accelerating the potential' of children and adults with hearing and speech-related challenges. Metro Hearing & Speech Centre is the result - and is focused on creating a community of shared expertise, resources and conversations. It is one of the first Centres in Eastern Canada to specialize in the assessment and treatment of Auditory Processing Disorders and Tinnitus with both Audiology and Speech Pathology under one roof. Brian also continues to provide evidence-based hearing solutions for those with hearing loss including a new comprehensive approach to the selection and fitting of hearing aids- that resulted from the insight, knowledge and skills learned from the addition of Auditory Processing and Tinnitus specialities.
