Genia Kanne-Shmigol

Genia brings a personalized approach to audiological care. With an unwavering passion for audiological health, she is devoted to serving the Ottawa community. With a rich experience spanning over 11 years, Genia has been proficient in addressing a broad spectrum of hearing issues, from the commonplace to the seriously complex. She caters to adults and children eight years and older as a clinical and dispensing audiologist. Genia regularly participates in training programs and is a regulated member of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). She also holds Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC) certifications and the Canadian Academy of Audiology (CAA). She is additionally certified in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) and Cerumen (earwax) Management, underpinning her approach to best practices and strict adherence to the CASLPO code of ethics. Genia's academic credentials include a Doctor of Audiology with Honours (Au.D) from A.T. Still University, Master of Health Science with Honours (M.Sc.S.Aud) in Audiology from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) with Honours from the University of Montreal. Originally from Ukraine, Genia is proficient in providing audiological services in English, French, Ukrainian and Russian.
