Carol is simply the best! She’s incredibly attentive and caring. She took the time to help me find a hearing aid that truly fits my needs and preferences. My uncle was visiting from Ireland and he had a problem with his hearing aid. After phoning a dozen places I spoke with a nice receptionist and explained the situation. She told me we could come in anytime that morning. We arrived not long after and they took his hearing aid fixed the lead wire. He had it back within 15 minutes. Great service and it was gratefully appreciated. Thank you!

My teenage son has struggled with Central Auditory Processing his whole life. We were finally able to get an assessment and therapy through Sound Idears and it has been an absolutely life changing experience for my son. We did the CapDots program and with militant consistency and A+ effort on my son's part his life has done a 180. It's by no means an easy road, but worthwhile IF you're willing to put 100% into it. A good support network and total commitment are necessary for success, but I can say.. if you're willing to put your all into this, then this is the place to do that. My son has gone from being withdrawn and struggling to understand what people are saying, struggling academically and frustrated with himself... to now being outgoing, well spoken, understanding what others are saying even in loud, crowded environments. He definitely found the therapy repetitive and mundane at times, but in his words, "it was worth it." Thanks so much for everything.

I just decided to write a rating for the Sound Idears Office, because after another solved problem I feel the gratitude I have for Carol Lau and her awesome team anew. I have been dealing with them for about 11 years now and have only had very positive experiences. My atypical case is complicated with severe hearing loss, tinnitus and hyperacusis. Despite my initial strong resistance to the hearing aids prescribed (I just don’t like “the feel” in my ears and get irritated), her knowledge, skill, compassion and patience with me should get Carol a medal! She has worked so hard to find the right solutions for my issues, has helped me to be able to afford them, continuously encouraged me to "stick with the program” when I didn’t, without my feeling scolded or criticized. She has made time to “squeeze me in” when there wasn’t a space, or called me if issues could be resolved that way. Since being referred to her clinic by Glynnis Tidbal (another treasure) at the St. Paul’s Tinnitus Clinic, my issues have improved greatly, although it did take time. I’m so glad I didn’t give up, because I know that I would be in much worse shape, physically and emotionally, without Carol’s help. I consider her a very important part of my health provider team and can highly recommend her service.
