ReviewsI was here recently for gallstones from Hay River and one of the nurses I had was incredible. She got me two warm blankets and one warm blanket for my husband when we were there so so late at night and remembered that I like the light off. She also didn't tease me when I called them 'blankeys'. I think she recognized my autism and did her best to make us feel safe and taken care of. I cannot remember her name but all the nurses and doctors here made me feel very safe and prioritized even though there were so many of us.
I wish to thank Dr Affleck and all the nurses, especially those who cared for me during my 3 day stay in emerg before being moved to a regular room. On December 20th I was taken to the emergency department suffering from a lack of breath and difficulty standing or communicating. I was quickly attended to and moved to a private room within emerg, where I was diagnosed with double pneumonia and the flu. Thanks to the prompt attention, by the medical staff and their excellent care, I was able to return to family 4 days later in Yellowknife to celebrate Christmas. This hospital and its staff are a 10/10!
I am visiting from Alberta and was just discharged from A 2 week stay at Stanton. I very impressed with the level of care, and compassion of all staff, and the respect shown to patients. Staff were attentive and looking at what could be done to enhance comfort. It’s a busy place for sure but I saw a lot of cooperation and team work. I was happy with the food service variety. Just want to say that our hospitals down south could learn a thing or 2 about patient focused care. Thank you for the excellent care.
My son had a great nurse in Emerg, and an amazing surgeon Dr. Labine. She was very informative, never lectured, very kind and didn't make him wait. His recovery Nurse Krista was amazing as well and shows lots of compassion. I am also thank ful they never took offense to his language.
I would like to sincerely thank the Obstetric Department at Stanton Territorial Hospital for their outstanding care during the delivery of my wife. A special thank you to Dr. Haugen Jenna, Dr. Spierau Larissa, Dr. Auras, Dr. Erika, and the anesthesiologist for their professionalism, dedication, and kindness. We were especially touched when Dr. Erika realized we are francophone and immediately spoke to us in French to make sure we fully understood everything — that meant so much to us. We are also deeply grateful to the wonderful nurses who supported us throughout: Christie, Bekah, Coral, Sarah, and the very kind nurse with the beautiful pink hair (we are sorry we cannot remember your name, but we will never forget your kindness and warmth). Each of you went above and beyond to ensure Ihssan’s delivery was safe and smooth, and to make us feel comfortable, reassured, and cared for. Thanks to you, this experience became a beautiful memory for our family. From the bottom of our hearts — thank you. With gratitude, Abdel & Ihssan 🌸 My apologies if I did not write your name correctly — but please know our gratitude is sincere.
